How we work

Three commitments, and they are the whole business:

1. The price is written and flat before we start. You approve a number, and that is the number. If we open something up and find a genuine surprise, we stop and show you before anything changes — we do not discover expensive news halfway through and present it as a fait accompli.
2. Everything that needs a permit gets one. We pull it, the City of Lake Mary inspects it, and it gets closed out properly. You get the permit number without having to ask.
3. We tell you when you do not need us. Sometimes the panel is fine. Sometimes the fix is a $12 part. Saying so costs us a job and earns a neighbor, and in this trade that trade is not close.

Questions worth asking any electrician

Including us. These take a minute each and they are the fastest way to tell a careful contractor from a careless one:

• Is the permit included, and will you pull it? The contractor pulls it, never the homeowner.
• Can I see a certificate of insurance? General liability and workers’ compensation. If an uninsured worker is hurt in your home, that can become your problem.
• Is this price flat or an estimate? You want to know before, not after.
• What happens if you find something unexpected? The right answer is that they stop and show you.
• Will you label the panel when you are done? A small thing that tells you a lot about how someone works.

What to expect when we arrive

An electrician, not a salesperson. Shoe covers and drop cloths before anything else. We diagnose first and tell you what we found in plain language, including the parts that are fine.

You get a written flat price before any work begins, and you are free to take it away and think about it. If the fix is small we will just do it and tell you. When we finish, the panel is labelled, the work is tested with you watching, and the debris leaves in our truck.

We are building this on people telling their neighbors, which only works if the work and the pricing are both honest. So they are.
